Nate is building a house close to home and so today he took Porter out to drive the "diggers." Of course once Aubrey saw Porter drive she wanted a turn to. She really held tight to Nate I think she was a little scared.
Porter on the other hand jumped right in. Nate even let him run the bucket.
All business!
He was so sad when we left he cried. Nate had to promise to bring him back.
I don"t know why but both our kids love collecting the garbage! Everyday sometimes twice a day they can be found working together to empty the trash. Many times there is hardly any garbage. Porter has decided he wants to be the garbage man when he grows up.
The other day it was cold so we got a big blanket and cuddled over the heater to watch cartoons. They loved it and wait for the heater now.
Since I was Porter's age my mom has made sugar cookies. It started with just Christmas, but since my kids were born she has gracefully made them for just about every holiday that passes. She has tried to get me to take over the tradition, but why would I. She has it covered. 
Since this trip was both Business and Pleasure for Nate, while he was finishing up his building conference on Tuesday I decided to take the kids to the Temple. The San Diego Temple is just absolutely beautiful.
Aubrey was so tired from our week of fun that on the way to return the rent-a-car she fell a sleep. We waited as long as we could and finally Nate just removed her seat from the car and set her on the bench. She didn't even flinch.
Sarah and I decided to take the kids to the Zoo. I little crazy since there were two of us and six of them. Put things went pretty smooth and the kids sure had fun. Porter was so excited to see the animals, especially the Giraffe.

Aubrey was so tired she just didn't know what she wanted, so she cried. I couldn't resist taking this picture. 
Porter and Aubrey sure had fun with their Grandma. The loved being at her house and seeing her kitty. 
We felt so lucky to be able to share such a special moment with Sarah and Darren and their family. We sure enjoyed getting to meet Liberty. Sarah and Darren have such a wonderful family and we enjoyed our time with them.
