This year the kids had some pretty simple request. Aubrey wanted a new
car seat for her baby, the only catch was she wanted it to look just like a real
car seat. Porter just wanted a
Star Wars helmet, gun, and
light saver.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas we did what I think almost every parent does when there children are being naughty. Tell them that if they continue Santa will put coal in their stockings. Poor Porter was so worried and Nate spent a great deal of time teasing him that he may have seen coal in his stocking, that when he came down the stairs he went right by his toys headed straight for the stocking and very carefully peaked inside. He looked like he may cry, he pulled out the case Santa left for his
Leapster opened it up and looked. When I asked him what he was doing, he looked up and said, "making sure I didn't get coal." Once he saw he was in the clear he couldn't be more excited.
